Shazam: Going above and beyond

The other day I was trying to figure out what app on my iphone did I personally think was the best? There were a bunch I put into consideration, but I would have to say hands down the one I enjoy the most is "Shazam". If you are unfamiliar with this app, let me enlighten you. It acts as a "name that tune" sort of device, if you hear a song and want to know who sings it you simply just turn on the app, Shazam reads it and provides not only with the information about the song, but links to itunes to purchase, possible tour dates of that band, album reviews, and even youtube videos. It doesn't just stop with songs either, for most new commercials now you just Shazam it and other additional information and extra bonuses will pop on your phone. Now I just read from twitter to the "Fast Company" article that Shazam is taking their app to a whole new level. Starting today you can start Shazaming any show at anytime, encouraged by the people of Shazam. With so many users and its numbers increasing, the company wants people to get the most experience of the app and your viewing entertainment. Let's say for example, you are a huge NFL fan and are watching Monday Night Football. You could literally Shazam the game you are watching and receive to your phone stats from the game, scores of other games, and other info to support all your sporting desires. This is why I love this app so much. Other than loving music a lot and curious to see what song is what, Shazam provides so much to its users and now with this recent move to more television spots, they are just getting started. I encourage those who do not have this app to receive it IMMEDIATELY, before you get left behind.
