Even with recent flaw, Apple still dominates
I am absolutely terrible with directions...If I do not have a complete layout of where I am going or someone telling me which turns to make I could end up somewhere not even remotely close where I need to be. So when I received my iphone last Christmas and saw that it came with an already programmed map app, I was pumped. Though when I started to use it while driving I noticed that it wasn't the best. Yes, it got me to my destination, but there was a lot of flaws. I guess the general public agreed with me and apple assured that the new iphone would have a better map app. Unfortunately, it didn't improve and it seemed like the problem got worse and was even highly publicized that the efforts was a giant blunder. Now you would think from taking a hit like this and having a lot of bad publicity, a company would see a decrease in its brand. Wrong...In fact for the case of Apple they are one of the most improved brands of last month according to Yougov's brandindex. A major part of that I would have to say would probably be the release of the iphone 5, but I believe this shows the dominance of Apple. Customers have shown their trust in Apple and continue to buy their products and show loyalty. If I were Apple I would make sure that the loyalty stays that way.
